Alright... maybe I did ask for it. Maybe all non-silver printers are
masochists and love to spend days and days making prints- I'm cool with
that. It fits me well :)
BUT!!! There are many people out there who are striving to be masochists-
desiring to get into a process (labyrinth?) that they will never get out
of. Thats cool with me as well. What I want to do is provide an
information source for people who "think" they might like to try a process
out or two. The quickstarts will address simple issues, and are ONLY
meant to get people going. I have a feeling that once you see a gum-print
develop out, your half-way to getting hooked and loosing your mind (no
offense Judy ;) All I want to do is set up a resource, so someone,
somewhere, with a bit of midnight manic-ness can decide that he/she wants
to try this out. No libraries (for now), no deep discussions upon the
nature of gelatin, nothing but the vary least amount of info to get
someone hooked and enjoying themselves.
The page will also provide "advanced" people with lots of info as well.
All of the alt-process mail will be archived according to subject and will
be searchable for keywords! There is a place where you can submit your
information on a process (a set of forms that are easy to fill out and
address specific questions for specific processes). These submissions will
be turned into another searchable archive so you can see who's using Sodium
Acetate developer, and how they are doing it. And more, and more.. I just
need to get the time is all..
Yea?
Adam.
