Anyone traveling through the Washington, DC area anytime soon (thru
11/30) -- there's a cool exhibit at the National Gallery's West Wing --
The First Century of Photography -- starting with Fox Talbot and
threading through Weston, Stieglitz, Weston, Man Ray, etc.
A lot of old (alt-processes) are displayed and discussed. A very
nice primer on this subject and an opportunity for individuals to get an
up close look at a variety of these processes.
