Robert, If you woud like to see more original Stieglitz images, I suggest
that you visit the Ydessa Hendeles Art Foundation, 770 King Street West,
Toronto, Ontario. It is only open on Saturdays and the admission is $3.00.
On display now are two gravures "The Steerage" and "The Terminal" ans well
as the hands of Georgia O'Keefe done in platinum. Very moving !

The exhibit is curated by James Borcoman, former director of the National
Gallery of Canada. He is the guy that acquired most of them over a period
of 20 years.

The platinum print is made first. Then multiple gum overcoats of any
desired colours are applied and developed selectively with a brush. The
platinum base image serves to enhance shadow depth and details and the gum
provides the vehicle for artistic effects.
