I have been a subscriber to Photo Techniques since 1984, long
enough that it has now changed its name twice. I am not
particularly happy with the magazine, and have not been really
satisfied for the last several years. I have, just barely,
renewed my subscription this year, mainly to see how the
editorial and name change works out.

If I were to suggest a magazine, though to fill the needs of a
serious photographer who prefers to do their own darkroom
work, however, it would have to be Photo Techniques. Dissatisfied
as I am, I must admit that much usefukl information is published,
and in general it is head and shoulders above all other U.S.
photo magazines. Therefore I concur that it is the best choice.
