Point and Shoot Digicam that shoots RAW, was Re: "Macs just WORK"

So now, can anyone recommend a state of the art point and shoot camera that shoots raw mode that you all really think is top notch? Smallish and pocketbook friendly?

Nope. There's no such animal because I wanted one also and couldn't find any. I needed something to replace my dying Pentax which lived in the Altoid candy can and travelled in my pants all over China a couple of times. I wanted a small, shoots Raw, and not too expensive camera that I could have with me all the time.

The one I eventually got is not cheap, not too small. But the image quality is good, as long as light level isn't low or the noise is quite high, and it does give you RAW: the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1. It has a beautiful Leica lens that zooms from 28mm equivalent, and shoots 16:9 format. Current model is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2.

If you find anything else more compact, please let me know.

By the way, the camera I carry with me all the time these days is my one-megapixel LG cell phone. No RAW mode but what convenience!
