I agree, by compromise I meant make the best use of what we can find.

Quite. In fact is often possible to find materials in the pharmacy and in
the hardware store or the cake department of the super market or thehome
made wine supplier. I have spent twenty years building up a range of
alternative and inexpensive sources which are included in my own writings.
I can recommend Aldrich and Johnson Mathey as sources of chemicals. We
also have enterprising persons such as Dick Sullivan and Martin Reed
working on our behalf. We are fortunate in London to have a number of
organisations that are fruitful sources of materials for'alternative'
processes. Another way of ensuring that we can continue is to establish
the essentials of a process and avoid over complication.

Of course X-Photography has connotations of tickling rather more than the
imagination !

It would be nice if you could come to the sping meeting in Bath.

We could even put 'names' on the agenda !
