Platinum is also an iron process, aka ferric process. There are several
ways to classify processes but the most common way uses the chemical class
system

I was aware of that. I was trying to point a certain irony.

I run a series of workshops on the iron processes including gold, silver,
platinum, palladium and iron and combinations thereof.

But usually it is better not to let our professional jargon and personal
classification systems spill over into the real world.

To the normal person, to refer to iron + silver or iron + platinum as
being non silver or non platinum smacks of illogicality.
