Two who come to mind immediately are Susan Rankaitis and Laurie
Klingensmith. The CCP collection has works by both. And I think Edmund Teske
sometimes worked this way. Also, there are the "chimigrams" (hope I spelled
that right) of Pierre Cordier, which I think were discussed on the list a
while back. And a former UA student, Erik Hansen, who worked at CCP for a
while, produced a body of work in this manner that was stunningly beautiful.
One hangs in the office of our archivist. In think Erik is now at the Amon
Carter Museum in Texas.

I wish I could provide some how-to advice. Perhaps the best way to approach
it would be to take the attitude that "rules are made to be broken". :)
