After some reflection I don't think this is a workable solution.
I looked at this as a way to aid in conflict resolution. My idea was to
"replay the tape" of the last year and a half's conflict and I find it hard
to imagine that Judy would have been willing to go off to a web site in the
next county to air her grievances.. or that Luis would have... or Terry...
or myself .. or anyone else for that matter. This is like having the right
to air your grievance over an issue in LA California but having to do it in
Fargo ND. Never going to happen.
I am not picking on Judy but only saying she had every right to air what
she felt was a necessary grievance and not be sent packing off to Never
Never Land. I am only using her as the example since her mile long message
of last year was the grievance that started the whole mess.
Since we are all adults, why not have a rule that messages that concern
grievances have the word "grievance" or "conflict" in them. That way people
can just ignore them if they are not interested. I know, it's hard to not
open something like that, but then it is a choice isn't it? At least it
doesn't send them packing of to nowhere.
