Dave, farbeit from me to discourage invention, but from here the idea of a
machine to coat a *gum* print is like getting an 18-wheeler to go out to
the mailbox. Although coating technique is extremely important, I'd bet
(that farm again) it would be tougher to make the machine do it right. And
I doubt the same machine would "burnish," which in my experience is the
heart of the matter....
