Hi all,
I've been wondering about something. Recently I acquired a good condition
NuArc vacuum frame to use with my UV light bank. I mainly got it for screen
exposures in photogravure - where anything less than absolute contact is
ruinous. However, I've done a little Pt/Pd work with it and the results are
mixed. Contact is better - things are sharper. However, it appears that
prints exposed in the vacuum frame with 29 Bars of pressure show a tendency to
be uneven. I wonder if the supreme contact may exacerbate pooling problems?
I think I will install some sort of bleed valve, but until then - any
comments?
