For what it is worth, I have used Palladio's paper very happily and have
even written a couple of articles on the subject. I have also
handcoated both developing out pt/pd and Ziatypes. Palladio paper has a
different quality, a toothiness that is very handsome. It also has a
sense of deeper blacks than Ziatypes, and certainly than developing out
coating, but I have not done the testing to verify that it is so.
Currently, I am doing a number of Ziatypes using Carl Weese's suggestion
of adding pt to the LiPd mixture. I find that to be a very flexible
system. Since I am trying to get ready for another show, I have both a
roll of Palladio and a supply of LiPd, pt and ammonium ferroxalate.
Hope I can pull it together. Jim
