I'll go you one better in the simplicity department.
Carl's Clearing Bath for Pt/Pd printing:
One gallon of 80 degree F water in a bucket
One heaping tablespoon (more or less) of EDTA
Two heaping tablespoons (more or less) of sodium sulphite
Stir till dissolved.
It mixes more easily dissolving the EDTA first but it works the other
way too. This is seriously low-tech, and works great for all Pt/Pd
variations I've tried.
