I've just started experimenting with making up my own developers and have a
couple of questions that I can't find answers for in any of the books are
articles I've read. Wonder if anyone on the list can help??
Firstly, when using hydroquinone -- does one need to grind it up before
trying to dissolve it or should the needle-like things dissolve easily in
an alkali solution?? I can't get the damn things to dissolve and have tried
mushing them up with a pestle but no luck. Any suggestions??
Secondly, what's the difference between Glycin (parahydroxyphenyl Glycin)
and Gylcine with an 'e'. I ordered glycin and got glycine (without any
chemical formulas on the bottle). But it is a glistening white poweder
which is the description I have for glycin so now I'm confused as to
whether I have the right stuff or not. Anyone know how I can distinguish
between the two??
