Huh what Š why, of course they MUST have the work prior to matriculating
into the program. If not then there would nothing to critique or hold
conversation about as they go through the MFA studies creating NEW work. The
idea is to create a portfolio, based upon your prior learning and (then)
life experience(s)) and then offer that to a committee of teachers and
students (we use student input as two votes for the whole program).

Or, am I reading you right? Or, are you reading me right?
