After having made many measurements of pH and S.G. for various Ferric
Oxalates, I have found that the determination of solution strengths by
Dick Stevens is not valid. This is mainly because any impurities in the
FO such as Oxalic Acid will disrupt the measurement of S.G. However,
the Ferric Citrate may be pure and I have not done measurements on
Ferric Citrate. But be aware of this concern that the relationships
promoted in Dick Stevens' book involving S.G. measurements are suspect
at least for Ferric Oxalate. Details of some of my measurements can be
