Humidity meter

Radio Shack has an electronic thermometer which also measures relative humidity (a psychrometer). It is pretty accurate and responds fairly quickly and is not expensive. I
have one mounted on my darkroom on the wall. When I get a good print and make notes
of what I did I also record the temp and rel humidity.
