Liquid Light Problem

I'm getting rather large air bubbles between the emulsion and the paper and
don't know what the remedy is. I am carefully applying the emulsion and
checking it under a safe light to ensure I don't have bubbles during the
coating process. The problem becomes evident while draining the paper when
it comes out of the plain water stop bath (very few and scattered small
bubbles) and then when the paper is put in the fixer they grow quite large
(sometimes the size of a dime). Any help in correcting this problem would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
