Grey Silva described the Metalchrome process in the PSA Journal, March
1970... The article (sent me by Nina Rizzo) was summarized in Post-Factory
#3 (which wasn't meant to be the "gold chloride issue" -- was really "the
Mortensen issue" !) Nina also wrote a Basic Guide to Metalchrome for
the issue, including formulas and update. (Part A of the formula,
incidentally, uses gold chloride, bringing us back to "gold chloride
issue.")

Speaking of which, I note Joyce Wadler's article in Sunday's Times --
"Ma's Teeth Travel in Cyberspace." It seems her mother auctioned her
former bridge on e-bay for its gold. Ma was delighted to get $16, but it
turned out (as daughter tracked down the buyer) it was actually worth
about $36. (The tooth I airmailed to England had less gold -- but the
story of even greater worth, say I.)

best,

Judy
