Just some comments on options.

+ Just interested in size, go 8x10 (or whatever format camera desired).
You do not have to get the most expensive equipment, and contact
printing at that size should produce successful results much, much
quicker than other methods.

+ If you are interested in more control than one piece of film and
camera can offer, then building enlarged negatives can be the route to
take. Although more equipment, materials, and labor intensive work will
be required. The analog route will likely produce a better quality
Pt/Pd print.

+ If you want the most control and are willing to relax the pursuit of
ultimate quality (although quality can still be good), then the digital
route may work.

+ If you wish to throw all to the wind and depend on someone else to do
your work for you, then by all means flush away your money and any
personal character your own printing might accomplish.
