My notes tell me we took the B4 RER line to the "Massy Palaiseau" stop - but
we were met at the station and had a short drive to actually get into
Bievres. It was about a 20-30 minute train ride from center Paris.

I'm not certain now, and I don't have a Paris subway map handy, but memory
suggests the B4 RER line runs near (stops at/near?) the St Michel subway
station and is also the RER line that runs along the river with a stop at
Musee D'Orsay. I don't recall having to go to Gare Austerlitz - I'm pretty
sure one can catch most of the RER trains at selected stops in center city -
the subway map will show you which ones.

Hope this helps. Paris in May should be a treat!
