I worked on an Epson 3000 all semester; it is a beautiful printer with its
ability to print out 17 by 22 paper. Each print seems to take about 25
minutes to do. You can get one for around $1200 from B and H i think it is.
It is finicky about taking the heavier weight papers, so I would have to
feed and refeed til it got it right, by hand. Also, in switching to Lysonic
Inks which we did at the end of the semester, you need to up your red and
magenta because the inks print quite greeny...now, maybe it was this
particular printer whose magenta head was not working as well, but I don't
think so, because if I upped the magenta and red about 20% it worked OK.
Also realize that when using Lysonic Inks, if you have a problem with your
ink jet heads, Epson does NOT guarantee them unless you use Epson Inks. You
may want to talk with Lysonic about this.
