Hi Paul
This is realy interesting.
I tried to do it with my Epson Stylus Photo 750 and 1200 (these are
the former models of printers you mentioned but differences shouldn't
be much significant).
I do nearly all prints for commercial presentations with theses
printers on high glossy paper and quality is realy 'photo like'.
But trying to print negs on transparent film, I had allways the problem,
that dye doesn't dry fast enouth, producing unsharp details and
leaving visible dye drops on the sureface. I used Tetenal film and some
other brands I don't remember as well as fixed out lith film without
successes.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem or is there a brand
(german market), which allows quick drying and producing sharp
details?
Thanks!
Regards
Stefan

Just bought an epson 1270, and am working with ibm transparency film.
(until I can get some pictorico)
Early days but lots of useful guidance from Dan Burkholder's book.
Suffice to say this printer is a HUGE step over paper negs (even with oil) on my older epson styus pro. I am working in van dyke and gum and know that with some photoshop curve tweaking I will actually get useful negs up to 13"x44".
epson 870 is the same printer for negs up to 8"x44" (I think)
good luck.

Subject: inkjet negs?
Has anyone tried making enlarged negs with one of the new inkjet printers? It would be a real boost if it could be done... If anyone has any links to some info on this I'd appreciate it!
Thanx!
Isaac
