I have used Kodak LPD4 direct positive film to make enlarged negatives
for gum printing. I can be developed to a continuous tone in paper
developer, though I've had more success by using it as a lith film with 100
line screens. The gum is forgiving of the little dots, and the pictures can
be made in one pass.
