Call a chemistry professor or talk with an expert. It is seriously
foolish to even think of handling chemicals that are not identified.
Additionally, you need to make sure that what is in the bottle is
actually what is on the label. I suggest that you put it away and leave
it alone until you can definitely identify the contents.
As for converting one chemical to another, it is silly unless you have a
lot of it to make it worthwhile. Be aware that most chemical
experimenters and novices do not have the required equipment or means of
analyzing the resulting compounds for purity that can affect your final
results.
