At a lecture last November (2000) Wilhelm announced that his studies failed
to demonstrate any protective value for UV filtration. There does not appear
to be any advantage for longevity of the art by spending the extra money for
UV screening. You may want to check his site or publications to confirm his
oral presentation. Joachim
