Switching ink sets is problematic regardless of the colors, mainly due
to the ink that stays in the feeder tubes. So to do this and get
predictable results, you must flush the old ink, typically using a
small amount of amonia in water. You can buy special cartridges that flush.

Then you need to recalibrate the nozzles.

Because of all this I have two inkjets, a 3000 for Piezography/gray
scale and a 1200 for color.
