Bob,
One of THE persons who can answer your question is Sandy King, but
he's out in the Utah desert photographing with his 12x20 camera and
won't have email access till after he returns from APIS. So I won't
chime in now, since my experience pales by comparison.
However, I was planning to do some tests in exactly the same way as
you mentioned, hopefully before too long. Let's compare notes.
