slightly off topic-gitzo screw

I have misplaced in the world one of 2 hex screws on my Gitzo MK2 head. It
comes from the piece that holds the quick plate release in place. I cannot
find a replacement in hardware stores, camera repair tells me Gitzo won't
supply them.

My best guess is that it is a allen machine head, 3mm shaft with .75 thread
pitch

I would welcome your input...my 57 is unusable without the tripod.
