Most of the research on inkjet print life seems to have been done by
Henry Wilhelm. His site appears to be in the throws of being updated, there
isn't much there, I just looked. However, there is a paragraph on his
testing procedures. In the past he has posted a list of materials tested,
both conventional and computer, with estimated life. Wilhelm tests using
conditions which mimic display conditions so the results are pretty valid
for real life use. His site should be checked periodically, if I interpret
the notice right he should have a bunch of new material posted in the next
few weeks.
