Christina,

Color of the pyro stain seems to depend on the film and pyro formula, as
well. TXT and Ilford films seem to go green/yellow with the accent on the
green, while Bergger BPF is much more yellow when developed in PMK (in ABC+
it's nice and green). The difference doesn't seem important for printing
with VC silver papers, but the greener negatives appear better suited for
Pt/Pd and presumably other UV-sensitive printing. The more yellow the stain
is the more it acts as an overall nd filter, extending exposure time without
raising contrast. The greener negatives print in Pt/Pd with more contrast at
shorter exposures.---Carl

PS: "Inside of a pickle color" is a pretty good description!
