Hi:
I am fiddling around seeing if I can do photo etching of litho blocks.
I'm using a technique suggested in spirit of salts - using a
gum-bichromate coating on a lino block to make a photo resist.
I'm using caustic soda (NaOH) as an etcing agent - it etches out the
resist. Has anyone had success with this?
I'm thinking I should try a less vigorous etching agent. Oven cleaner was
suggested in spirit of salts - but mine did no etching
Also tried dichromated gelatin and white glue as resists. No success
either - though the glue seemed to resist the caustic soda the caustic
soda seemed to etch under the glue.
