There are also a lot of us who don't go to school any more, work for a
living, and have plenty to do, but enjoy having/listening to/being a part
of these kind of discussions that delve deeper into our
motivations/methodology/strategy of atlternative photography. There may
not necessarilty be a venue for these kinds of thoughts and expressions.
Maybe I should start a alt-photo-concepts-history-education list?

My point is we're not that OT, it's not like we're discussing what's in
my sock drawer or what scsi card I use in my Macintosh. I have often
practiced executing the delete key whenever I see a topic I am not
interested in. (which is very rare) I just hate silencing people.

It's funny, before I even saw these posts asking us to shut up, I was
going to write to the list thanking everyone for their thoughtful,
interesting contributions, regardless of whether I have agreed with their
points or not. One of the reasons that I love this list is that we do
talk about more than just the best kallitype toner, enabling us to learn
about each other on other levels and therefore creating a more dynamic
and supportive peer group. I haven't had a good discussion like this
since I was in, well, Art school. I've found it very inspiring and can't
wait to bust out the camera this weekend. Then I'm going to try out
Sandy's kallitype method.

So thanks for being multifaceted artists and sharing your views with me.

Love,
Christine

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this
emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and
stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed."
-Albert Einstein
