I have never seen the stuff you are talking about but
most likely it is... with the exception of any
additives it might contain.
My whole point, however, in bringing up this subject,
was to say that you could even make your own
material... you can also find inexpensive dyes like
food colors that will work well... before you get into
the deep end, experiment with the more inexpensive
materials... you will probably find that they will do
the job.
It is easy to reach Overkill; it is less easy to to
know exactly what your needs are, and to find the most
efficient way to satisfy those needs.
