Hello, John. About metering, you might be interested to know that there was
a discussion
this summer about dedicating your meter to IR -- it must have been on the IR
group:
MAJORDOMO@A1.NL <MAJORDOMO@A1.NL>. I've always understood that you can't
meter for IR, but there's a guy on the group who swears he's devised just
such a meter using certain chosen filters manufactured for industrial
purposes. I didn't follow it closely because I'm kind of lazy myself,
preferring to take my chances with bracketing. Besides that, it seemed a
little esoteric for me. If I'd saved any of the correspondence msgs, I'd
email it to you, but I didn't. Perhaps if you burned that Pile and joined
the list, you could poke around in the archives. The exchange was quite
lengthy.
Good luck!
Mike Healy

There is also a way to make a infrared meter... Hopefully I can find both
articles but unfortunately they are on the "Pile" ( for years it had been
me against the "Pile" and the Pile has been winning... It is at the point
that if I can not find something immediately , I just give up...)
