Hi:
I'm planning on building a better UV exposure unit. I looked at
sylvania's web site and found that they manufacture a VHO BL tube
an FR48BT12/350BL/VHO/180 a four foot tube.
VHO stands for Very High Output - this usually means a much higher output
that a standard fourescent tube.
They are a 115 Watt tubes, the standard F40/35 BL tubes are 40 watt.
These have the same spectrum as the Sylvania's F40/350BL.
I'm awaiting prices - they are a special order, as are the
fixtures/ballasts -the tubes have a different base - a recessed double
contact.
Has anyone used these? I don't see why they would not work somewhat
better than a standard F40 BL - can anyone give me a reason why they would
not work?
The URL's at Sylvania for BL tubes are
and
(Sorry for the long URLs)
