Brush development of lith film for continuous tone:
Use a wide soft brush or even a foam brush (I use an old outdated static
master) and go back and forth (not necessarily touching the film, above it
is OK -- which also disturbs the laminar layer). Speed of going first left
right, then front back covering area methodically controls your agitation.
Low or high.

PS. I got this from Barbara Crane, but other folks do it. No mottle.
