Hi all,
I've been following all of the discussions about
digital negatives and finally have a question of my
own.
Staples has the C82 on sale this week for about $60
after a $20 rebate. But I can't figure out if this
printer is any good for making digital negatives (of
course, I'd be limited to prints smaller than 8x10 but
at least it's a beginning). I don't have any current
plans to use the printer to make prints (tho' that
could always change).
I'd love to buy the 2200 but that's out of my budget
at this time.
I've also seen the Photo Stylus (825?) but I'm not
sure if this model is a better buy than the 82C. I
know that the 82C has the durabright inks and that I
can buy them separately rather than replacing the
entire cartridge.
FYI, I'd probably try using Pictorico to make these
negs or the transparency material from OfficeMax that
Chris A. suggested weeks ago.
I've got Dan's book but I think that this printer is
too new to be reviewed in it (although it may be
mentioned in the supplement that he's going to post on
his web site in a few days).
Any suggests/recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks to everyone in advance.
Stuart
PS I know that Jon said last week that he loved his
C80 but he didn't say if he was using it for digital
negs or prints or both. Jon, any comment?
