Then there's the 1909 "Self Instruction Library of Practical Photography,"
vol. 7, chapter on 3-color gum process: The first coat is cyanotype,
printed under "the blue printing negative" (or alternatively, prussian
blue).Then the yellow printing negative is exposed with gamboge, and
finally "about equal parts crimson lake & carmine" printed on what is now
"the green print."
For materials, a "superior office gum" and "a good quality cartridge
paper" are advised. This makes "very soft and artistic 3-color prints," is
"not a difficult procedure to work" and "most economical."
