I think this thread has been very interesting if not completely conclusive.
However before we put this one to bed I just had a thought. Sam puts down a
cyanotype image as his first separation. Could just possibly this ferric
image interrelate with the dichromate chemically to produce an increase in
speed. A sort of latensification effect perhaps ?.
