Hello all,

I just work on digital curve and I find an interesting way to create a curve
for a process.

Here are the different steps.

1.Download a digital grey scale (there is a good one on the Caponigro web
page).
2.Change the colour or not depending on your printer.
3.Put in negative and print without any curves apply on the the grey scale.
4.Print on your transparency , and let dry
5.Then contact print on you sensitised paper. The goal is to get pure black
on the 100% step (if you work with the Caponigro step)
6.Then scan your print
7.Put in Grey scale.
8.Invert
9.And for making your curve just read the different step.
10.I often start with the reading of the 10-25-50-75-90 step and note the
result. For example with my platinum print of the step I read
    10>4
    25>8
    50>15
    65>22
    75>27
    90>53
11.Then I find that the resulting curve is a good starting point .

What do you think of this way to proceed. I didn't make a lot of test with
this method I use to work with a densitmeter before but I was lloking for a
way to find result without any densitometer. The first test look interesting
but I should try on other process to see how it works.

Amicalement
best regards
