I'm not challenging his FINDING, I'm challenging his conclusion from that
"finding." And since he has STATED his conclusion, I don't see much point
in torturing him about it. -- tho if you want to ask him, let us know.

HOWEVER, if Crawford still remembers his tests after 24 years, not to
mention can produce them, then he is indeed a magician and on an entirely
different plane from us mortals.... who would dare "challenge" him on
anything?

Although I'll add that some of his chapters were in fact done by or
assisted by other experts. For instance in P-F #6, Bob Gummper says that
"not all but a good deal of the bromoil and oil material in Keepers of
Light came from me." I've also been told, but don't remember by whom, that
the cyano chapter was at least partly farmed out. And I would hope so --
nobody could have done all that, least of all in those days.

But as I've tried, and clearly failed to explain, the tests unless checked
against a control don't mean a thing anyway. I would assume that anyone
testing different dilutions with dichromate could well get the same
results. My point is that's because something ELSE other than the
"correct" ratio determines the stain.
