Re: Printing Grayscale Prints with the Epson 2200

The real problem with using the 2100/2200 for B&W is that the yellow ink
(which is used for B&W prints even if you choose Black Only) is
significantly metameric, so the print tonality will vary significantly
(and non-linearly) with the temperature of the viewing light..

However, the light grey ink is actually brownish (warm), not a real
neutral grey. Therefore, with a good RIP, like ImagePrint, one can dial
out the yellow completely and produce much more neutral and less
metameric B&W imagery.
