Yeah, I couldn't find anything in my manual either, unless it's
something with the bearings. At any rate I hauled off and whanged this
precision instrument with a pair of pliers until it came free and I
could do the cuts I needed to do. It doesn't run smooth like it used to
though; it hangs and drags. I meant to call Logan yesterday but got busy
driving to town for nonglare glass and forgot to do it.

At any rate, in order to change the bearings or check for something
between the cutting head and the rail, or lubricate or whatever, the
cutting head has to be run off the end of the rail, and in order to do
that it has to be able to move, so I think I would have had to do what I
did no matter what. Rationalization, it works for me.
