Thanks to Dan and Mark for their helpful replies to my filmstock query. Color neg film it is! Just so each knows, I am an equal opportunity purchaser - bought each of their books (and in Dan's case, both editions).

Also, I agree with Mark on the usefulness of a step tablet/stop watch/hygrometer in platinum/palladium printing. Jim

  Eric,

I would add these three items and they are not that expensive but they would be the highest items on my list:

  1. 32 step tablet
  2. Stop Watch
  3. Hygrometer

I'm sure other folks have other ideas for items, but these 3 items I could not do without.

    Necessary?:
    1x 45ml measuring jar (glass)
    2x 1L measuring jar (glass)
    1x glass rod (for < 8x10 size)
1x 250ml bottle (for storing made Van Dyke, needs to be glass?)

Can get away with something else?:
1x stirring rod (is this necessary? can I use a chopstick?)
1x printing frame (I might use my 35mm contact printing thing for now
or just a piect of glass)
