Thanks, but I don't even have Photoshop so...

Anyway, what I was looking for is not how to make things. I've made a
few different versions in my way (gimp + imagemagick + pdflatex +
ppower4 all on linux) and it was easy enough. What I was thinking
about is, for example, better ways to take advantage of PDF features
to improve presentation, etc. Simply exchanging well made PDF
portfolios with other people may be useful.
