Are you looking at the BLB bulbs?
You can use the BL bulbs.
I think that when I built my unit, I priced bulbs at
HD and they were higher than a local electrical supply
house (I think that's what they're called.) I think
that I bought Sylvan brand bulbs and they were about
$9 a bulb (but that was about 6 years ago).
