There has been a recent thread on this over at
http://f295.tompersinger.com/ , a pinhole group. The consensus is that
one can draw the zoneplate in an enlarged version and then photograph it
at the correct size with high contrast film. Trying to make one
directly on transparency material will not work because no inkjet
printer printer will provide a smooth enough edge on the rings at the
very small scale needed for the zoneplate.
