any experience with da vinci brushes

Dear Listmembers,
 
Does anyone have an opinion on how da Vinci brushes stack up against the
Richeson 'Magic brush' for coating purposes?
 
My local arts supply store is having a 40% off brush sale, and there's a 3"
da vinci brush whos non-sale price was $74; seems almost too good to pass
up.
 
And you know, if it's expensive, it must be good :).
