My partner is a translator, though not from french to english I am afraid.
However I might suggest you visit http://www.proz.com/ which is an online
directory of freelance and agency translators.

Translation is not easy if you want to get the sense of the language
correct. If you are dealing in technical and specialist terms then in
becomes even more challenging.
